Prof. Chao Zhang has been selected for the 2023/24 RISUD Visiting Fellowship Scheme of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In late 2024, he will pay a three-month academic visit to the Hong Kong Polytechnic (HKU) to give a special lecture and collaborate with Dr Jiang Liming (Assistant Professor) from the Department of Built Environment and Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University on the real fire test of a new type of timber structure. As the co-leader of the project, Prof. Chao Zhang participated in the Hong Kong RGC General Research Fund (GRF) Fire Resistance Project led by Dr. Jiang Liming.
