Hong Kong PolyU team led by Prof JIANG Liming has successfully won a 4 million grant from Faculty of Construction and Environment to build a hybrid testing facility, which aims to conduct synchronized testing between a structural system model in OpenSees for fire and the specimen test. This could be further empowered by the modular AI model developed with OpenSees for fire, enabling AI-FE hybrid testing. This in future could organically connect member institutes of international research hub to carry out remote joint structural fire testing.
