Prof Guoqiang Li would like to announce the establishement of an International Joint Research Laboratory on Smart Fire Safety Engineering. It is established by Tongji University in collaboration with two Initiating Institutes (Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Wuhan University) and four International Founding Institutes (University of Manchester, Nanyang Technological University, University of Queensland, and Johns Hopkins University). This joint laboratory aims for providing a platform for international research collaboration based on our recently developed new fire testing facilities equipped with a large testing hall (85 m × 27 m × 20 m) in Shanghai together with various fire testing facilities in member institutes.
